Brazil vs Mexico in Fortaleza.
Brazil and Mexico have already met three times at the World Cup
Finals: Brazil 1950, Switzerland 1954 and Chile 1962; with Brazil winning all three matches.
The two teams have also met four times in the FIFA Confederations Cup;
including the Mexico City final in 1999, won (4:3) by Mexico.
The 2013 match between Brazil and Mexico, which Brazil won (2:0) was
also played in Fortaleza.
It's strange that the second round of group games in Group A kick
off before the first round of games in Group H are finished.
But then FIFA can be strange at times; more often than not.
Some don't think FIFA really care about football at all; just how much
they can milk out of television and sponsorship rights, although they seem to have missed
out on a sponsor for the free-kick spray.
The highlight of the first-half, as far as the Turkish referee was
concerned: a yellow card for Ramires.
Half-time: Brazil 0 - Mexico 0
The game needed to flow better in the second-half.
only started to show any urgency and up the pace of their game once Jo came on for Fred in
the 67th minute.
Credit to Mexico though, they didn't just defend, but they did defend
well; including some crucial saves from Ochoa.
Amazingly, if Cameroon or Croatia win their next two games, Brazil or
Mexico could be out.
